So by now you have eaten all the turkey and stuffing you can handle, watched all the football you are able to stomach , except for your favorite team, and have shopped all the Black Friday specials you are able to find and now you just need to set back and do some go old fashion relaxing.
As you are relaxing, see if you can tell me what common English word has three consecutive double letters? No cheating, just think about it. And while you are doing that, get yourself some hot chocolate or tea along with some homemade goodies and sit yourself down to ponder on the question.
While I could go on and on about nothing, just to waste time so you can think about what the answer is, I won’t. Here is the answer:
Bookkeeper. The only other word in the dictionary with three consecutive double letters is a variation on the same word: Bookkeeping. If you allow proper nouns or compound words, there are a few more (sweet-tooth, feed-door), but in the realm of single-word common nouns, the bookkeepers who are bookkeeping are it.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend! Back to work on Monday is just around the corner.
