From the Start of our house-buying journey we were still a bit in limbo and didn't even know where to start. We had another person helping us look for houses but Mary stayed persistent the whole time in asking what she could do to help. We decided she was the right fit for our needs! A year-and-a-half ago, in January 2019, while searching for a house to buy, I reached out from the Chicago area to Mary Cockburn here in the East Mountains. I started sending her lots of listings and asking lots of questions about houses for sale in this area. She went out and looked at a few and told me how they were. eventually in June we bid on a house. Sadly, we got outbid on that one so we immediately bid on another one and we packed up and headed here from Chicago in hopes of moving into that house end of July. Again, sadly that one had a lien on it and we could not purchase it so we bid on another house. Sadly, that one needed too many repairs to get a loan. Mary was diligent and patient during that time. Since winter was coming and we had no permanent residence we decided to put our house hunting on hold for a few months and we rented A home in the east Mountains. Mary kept in touch with me till we were ready to start searching again. in April of 2020 we started the search again. Mary was so positive and energetic which I was grateful for as I had many misgivings from our previous experience house-hunting. We bid on our fourth house in Los Lunas and then during the inspections and appraisals found out that it wasn't worth it and we couldn't get a loan due to it being damaged too much as well. Again, I was getting discouraged but Mary kept positive and kept searching for us and finally lo and behold we bid on a house in Moriarty and by golly we actually closed on it June 17th! I am grateful to Mary's perseverance and her energy especially at times when I had no energy to continue searching for a home. I don't know that Mary believed me back in January 2019 that I was going to move here but she did her job very well even with any doubt she may have had. Thank you for helping us get our home!
